Swedish Medical Group is looking for an EPIC Educator \(Full Time, Day Shift\) to work in SMG Nursing in Seattle, WA\.
The EPIC Educator plays a vital role in the development and training of Swedish Medical Group clinical staff, demonstrating the Swedish values of patient\-centered care and service; respect, caring and compassion; teamwork and partnership; continuous learning and improvement; and leadership\.
In this position you will:
Develop, coordinate and provide educationally sound programs to maintain and improve the EPIC competency of the clinical staff
Collaborate with the Nurse Executive and Quality team to develop, coordinate and provide educationally sound programs to maintain and improve the EPIC competency of the clinical staff
Orient new employees
Assess staff learning needs in clinic training and skills validation
Actively participate in the EPIC Physician and Back Office Super User groups
Work in collaboration with Swedish IT/IS groups on software program upgrades and enhancements
Work in collaboration with the Swedish Medical Group Quality Improvement Department on quality initiatives
Requiredqualifications for this position include:
Certification in adult education, training and development, computer technology \(such as MS Office products\) or Epic
Two \(2\) plus years of experience in a clinic setting
Knowledge of adult learning principals
Previous experience with electronic medical records \(EMR\)
Ability to set priorities and time management skills in a high volume work environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to analyze and problem solve independently
Demonstrated commitment to high quality customer service
Preferredqualifications for this position include:
Graduate of an accredited Registered or Licensed Practical Nurse program
Curent Washington State HCA License required; RN or LPN License
One \(1\) plus years' education experience
