As a Primary Care Physician in the Ambulatory Care Service at the Oklahoma City VA Health Care System, you will work as a member of a health care team. You will collaborate with other members of the team to provide medical care to veterans enrolled on the team. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate advanced competencies and skills in assessing the physical and psychosocial status of the patients and members, play an active role in the multidisciplinary patient-aligned care team (PACT), promote preventive measures, manage the acute and chronic conditions of his/her assigned panel of patients and patients assigned to other team members when circumstances requires.

Main Oklahoma City VA Medical Center
South outpatient community based clinic
North May outpatient community based clinic

Degree of doctor of medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in allopathic medicine or osteopathic medicine. The degree must have been obtained from an institution whose accreditation was in place for the year in which the course of study was completed. Approved schools are:
Schools of medicine accredited by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME) for the year in which the degree was granted. OR
Schools of osteopathic medicine approved by the Commission on Osteopathic College Accreditation (COCA) of the American Osteopathic Association for the year in which the degree was granted. OR
For foreign medical graduates not covered in (1) or (2) above, facility officials must verify with the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) that the applicant has met requirements for certification, and must obtain a copy of the ECFMG certificate, if claimed by the applicant.
