Providence is calling a Director Volunteer Services to Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia, WA and Providence Centralia Hospital, Centralia, WA.
We are seeking an individual responsible for oversight and integration of Southwest Washington Volunteer Services, which includes two hospital volunteer programs and one volunteer run gift shop for a combined total of 300 volunteers. Operational management of Providence St. Peter Hospital Volunteer Program.
In this position you will: • Models Providence Mission and Core Values • Foster a vision for the Southwest Washington Volunteer programs • Demonstrate self-awareness and learning agility • Oversee the volunteer programs in Providence Centralia Hospital, Providence St. Peter Hospital • Manages the adult and junior volunteer programs • Recruits volunteers for the program by being a visible presence and active in the community • Adroit in understanding, addressing and supporting the unique needs of community volunteers • Provide a supportive and welcoming environment tailored to the needs of community volunteers • Oversees Management of the Providence Corner Gift Shop • Communicate clearly with employees, peers, stakeholders, volunteers, liaison • Leverages current technology, social media to engage community, volunteers and staff • Actively seeks new ways to engage volunteers • Ability to adapt to fast changing environment • Able to see and implement operational improvement opportunities for maximum efficiency • Strong organizational skills • Strong interpersonal skills
Qualifications: Required qualifications for this position include: • Bachelor’s Degree and five years’ experience in volunteer management required.
Preferred qualifications for this position include: • Prior administrative and management experience in hospital setting preferred. • Administrator of Volunteer Services certificate from ASDVS, preferred.
