Springwoods Behavioral Health is an affiliated 80-bed acute care behavioral health facility located in Northwest Arkansas and has been providing quality health care to the residents Northwest Arkansas since 2009. The hospital provides 24-hour acute care behavioral health services.
Springwoods Behavioral Health is seeking a dynamic and talented Receptionist/Admissions Generalist. The Receptionist/Admissions Generalist serves as the initial contact for admission inquiries and incoming guests and patients. This position will answer incoming calls, provide accurate and timely data entry, coping of documents and create daily census reports.
Interpersonal Relations: As a representative of Springwoods Behavioral Health, all comments, attitudes, actions, and behaviors have a direct effect on the hospital's image and perceptions of quality service. Interaction with patients, physicians, referral sources, affiliate schools, guests, visitors, volunteer workers, co-workers, supervisors, vendors, etc. must be in a manner that is friendly, supportive, courteous, respectful, cooperative, and professional. This behavior should promote an atmosphere of teamwork, which is congruent with hospital standards and guidelines to promote positive relations.
SKILLS, ABILITIES AND COMPETENCIES:
Complies with all Administrative, Clinical and Human Resources policies and procedures.
Actively support the mission, philosophy and goals of the Hospital.
Communicate with sensitivity to growth, development and cultural issues.
Respond to incoming calls to the Hospital to accommodate coordination for referral/admissions.
Assure accurate information is provided to referrals as requested.
Verifies insurance benefits for admits.
Forward all patient referral information to the Admissions staff
Ensure all inquiries, referrals and admissions are documented accurately in the computer system.
Assists patients, families, payor, and/or referral source through the referral source through the admission process.
Answer multi-line telephone system and route calls appropriately.
Provide professional communication, greet visitors and issue visitor badges
Monitor emergency systems and facilitate response to emergency codes as required.
Assist with distribution of mail and packages arriving before or after hours.
