Floyd Medical Center, Northwest Georgia’s regional healthcare provider of choice, is seeking a Director of Volunteer Services to join our team. The Director of Volunteer Services will be responsible for directing and coordinating the Volunteer Services team, comprised of over 350 volunteers, for Floyd and Polk Medical Centers. The right candidate will confer with administrative staff to plan a volunteer program consistent with the needs of the facilities. The responsibilities include developing and implementing policies and procedures for in-service training, work hours, and types of services to be performed by volunteers, recruitment and interviewing of applicants for the Volunteer Services Program, and maintaining required education updates and rewards for volunteers. This position will also be responsible for engaging and speaking to the community and various civic groups on the volunteer program.
Licensure/Certification Certified Administrator of Volunteer Services preferred.
Experience Minimum of 4 years of volunteer management experience. Excellent people and management skills. Computer experience necessary; must be able to handle routine office procedures efficiently, interviewing and public speaking skills helpful. Supervisory experience beneficial.
