Primary Care is seeing a well-qualified provider to provider gender specific care in the Medical Centers Well Women's clinics. Women's Health Primary Care Provider (WH-PCP) will fulfill all Primary Care needs including:
care for acute and chronic illness
mental health service and gender-specific primary care to include screening for breast and cervical cancer and referral for abnormal findings to appropriate specialty services
will also assure coordination of care across care settings
providing comprehensive primary care for women patients within the Patient-Aligned Care Teams (PACT) VA care delivery care system
provides appropriate care for women Veterans ranging in age from 18-geriatric years
responsible to contribute to the achievements of quality of care standards, efficiency, process improvement, and patient satisfaction
writes orders for diagnostic testing, prescribed medications, and consultation to specialty services utilizing computer-keyboarding techniques
other duties as assigned

Must be proficient in written and spoken English.
Degree of doctor of medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine.
Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religions, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Moderate lifting (15-44 pounds), moderate carrying (15-44 pounds), reaching above shoulder, use of fingers, walking (1 hour), standing (1 hour), near vision correctable to 13" to 16" to Jaeger 1 to 4, far vision correctable in one eye to 20/20, hearing (aid permitted), emotional/mental stability, working inside, working closely with others, protracted or irregular hours of work, slippery or uneven walking surfaces. Driving required approximately once per week.
